Visitor visa for spouse

Applicant having a spouse/partner in Canada probably makes it more prone to rejection.

Almost guaranteed refusal around 1-2 years ago but much higher chances now.

I guess I need to rephrase it. I am a Canadian citizen. I applied for my wife PR under family class outland. We have received the AOR as well biometric request. As per new rule, I can apply for her visitor visa for couple of months after receiving biometric and aor.

She has her whole family there as well my mom ( her mother in law). Now only if you have info about timeline please share. Thanks

You can apply but that doesn’t guarantee approval. It is much easier to get approved than 1-2 years ago which was almost an automatic refusal. Her MIL isn’t a tie. All you can do is be honest and hope for the best. Include your wife’s savings and your own, information about time together in person (more time together in person will alleviate some concerns about whether marriage is genuine), reason why your spouse wants to join you in Canada, proof of sponsorship, etc.

I applied for my TRV, my spouse is in Canada and it got rejected in like 3 days.
