Hi I need an advice regarding visitor visa for my brother in Germany
I am a Canadian citizen since 2016, my mom has a PR and will become a citizen soon.

My brother has a Syrian passport, he arrived in German in October 2015, got the permanent resident card in February 2016. What is the best way he could come and visit me and my mom here in Canada the Christmas holidays?

Someone has told him that she knows a person in the immigration office and she can get him a Super visa for $5000, I was very skeptical when he told me the story, that's why I was researching and I wanted to ask if that is even possible?

He never applied for any other country or any other visa
Any suggestion or advice would be highly appreciated
Thank you very much

Stay away from that person. They have node what they are talking about and will scam you. Only parents qualify for supervisa. Does your brother have permanent residency in Germany or is it for a limited time period? Has he been employed for a consistent basis? Does he have savings? Does he have a family that will be remaining in Germany?

Yes he has PR in Germany valid for 3 years
He was employed in a factory part time for 12 months then moved to full time 5 months ago

He has €4000 in savings

No he doesn’t have family in Germany he’s single

Given that your brother only has temporary permission to remain in Germany I would anticipate it will be hard for him to get a TRV. He also has weak ties to Germany. No family and no property. He only has been employed full-time for 5 months and doesn't have a large amount of savings. If he gets permanent status in Germany and saves more money that will help his case.

Thank you very much for your help
He has perminant resident in Hermany not temporary permission. How much is a good amount of money he should save up to?
How long working in certain job is considered a long enough time to apply for TRV?

Permanent residency for only 3 years is temporary. If he had lifelong permanent residency with a path to citizenship it would be different. That will be the biggest issue. Standard rule is $1000/person/week but you couldn't deplete all your savings for a trip. 6-12 months in a permanent full-time job that you had authorized leave should likely be fine. The biggest obstacle is his current status in Germany and the fact that he has no family inGermany but multiple family members in Canada. You can try but those will be the obstacles. Don;t try multiple times because multiple refusals indicate a desperation to get to Canada.

Not just his bank balance, but any financial investments if possible.... to show that he has a good financial situation to return to. He has plenty of time until November to save up considerably more.

A full-time, permanent job would help. Probably about 7-9 months of working + pay taxes on the income earned (include those tax returns).

In addition to this:
1. Does he have a rent contract in his name?

2. Is he studying or working a second job?

3. Any volunteer work?

4. Any work or personal commitments scheduled after his visit?

5. Credit cards? A pet? Engaged to be married?

6. When is he eligible for citizenship?
