Visit - Family (not tourism or others)
All liquid finances that are legit + owned by each of them i.e. not borrowed for the visa application and must match their declared sources of income.
Why would it be all liquid assets if just to visit ?
You would want to consider waiting until you have an address + you can provide an invitation letter + your study permit. Otherwise apply for a SOWP for your spouse.
Could you explain this some more, because it seems that all the documents must go in at the same time I apply for study permit. Or is that you are saying I shouldn't mention family any at all and wait until I am Canada and gave started studying to apply for their visitor visas?
Also, it's not a good idea to mention that they will be visiting you *periodically*. The visa officer knows your family will attempt the TRV route just so as to get the SOWP/visitor records when they arrive. But, mentioning they will be visiting regularly would confirm they are not short-stay visitors[/QUOTE
Thanks for your response, but it still a bit confusing for me....initially I wanted to apply for TRV for them and SWOP for my husband at the same time as my study permit...i was advised that we may all get turned down....so I decided to just apply for study permit. It was my understanding that it is almost automatic that your child and husband can visit you while you study. I didn't think there was any hidden agenda with it. Especially in answering the questions in my cic account, it automatically generated visitor visa application forms for them. Could you explain please
