Visitor Visa first time entry

Hello,

My now wife has a TRV Visitor/Business multiple entry visa when submitting the documents back in January the purpose of the visit was tourism and a trade show (and we were not married at the time). But COVID changed all that and those plans never happened and she never arrived.

Fast forward we are recently married and technically she should be exempt from the travel restrictions and be able to "visit" me here in Ontario.

Question is there a potential for issues at the border because this is her first visit to the country and the reasons for coming are vastly different from when she originally applied for the TRV?

Yes. If she applied for travel for business reasons she could have issues at the border if she isn’t arriving for business purposes.
