Hi Everyone,

We’re planning to apply for a Visitor Record soon as we transition from our PGWP, and my spouse holds SOWP, which will expire in August 2025. Our two daughters hold valid study permits, and we are supporting them as they complete their university studies. We also have an active Express Entry profile. We are in the process of updating our application and preparing it with the hope of receiving an ITA soon.


For Purpose of my visit in details of visit to Canada on the application form, what is the best option to select among: Business, Tourism, Short Term Studies, Returning Student, Returning Worker, Super Visa, Other, Family Visit, or Visit?


Any advice from those in a similar situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What is your CRS score and NOC? Assume you must be over 40 so pathway to PR very difficult these days. Transitioning to a visitor record and being able to remain in Canada without PR application in process is much more difficult than it used to be. Your children being university students in Canada would not typically be considered a reason why you can remain a visitor in Canada.
