Visitor to Student

Hi,
I am in Canada in visitor visa for the last 2 months. I want to apply student visa. I checked CIC website and found that I can apply for student visa. How easy to get student visa change status from visitor visa to student visa? What do you suggest? If yes I want to study PSW program. How expensive is fee?
Please suggest me.

I have the same concern though I am still not yet in Canada right now..but this will be my plan next year so I am gathering information about this. This is what I've read in CIC website:

If you are already in Canada as a visitor, you have a few options if you still have legal status in Canada.

For a new study permit, you can apply:

-from your home country or another country where you are lawfully admitted, or
-in person or by mail at the Visa Application Centre in Los Angeles.

I am hoping there would be someone who had an actual experience that could really help
