My fiancée came to Canada with a student visa in 2024. She has since left back home to the Philippines at the end of the year and has since resided In her home since 2025. She has reapplied for her ETA and it was approved this summer. She and I are planning on having her come back to Alberta sometime next year, and we are wondering if the ETA alone is enough for her to return as a tourist and love with me for a time, or if her expired student visa requires more attention, ala a tourist visa? Her eTA application was approved September 14th, 2026.
