At least $6000 in your back account back home, return ticket and Travel medical insurance to add weightage to your application.

For 2 people would suggest over $10000. The rule tends to be $1000/week/person and airfare. It would not make sense to drain all your finances for a 2 week trip so you need to more than is required.
