Kindly please help..what can I choose for self-employed in the work activities? I don't see any option? My father is a farmer.

Same question for me. My father is also a farmer.

I have applied for Visitor's visa for my in-laws and in the same situation.
My mother-in-law received biometrics request the day after applying (age: 64 yrs)
However, my 71 year old father-in-law (primary applicant) has not received it.
Was wondering if age has anything to do with this.

Tagging @scylla here to get some expert advice.
Hi Iam in the same boat, my mother who is 66 got the biometric request but my father who is 71 did not get it, how long did it take for your fther in law to get biometric?

Ages 14 to 79 have to do biometrics once in 10 years. If your father has never given biometric, and it is his first time as well, don't worry, it will come within 24-96 hours to give biometric. It is normal to have gap between receiving for multiple applicants, and you can wait 96 hours, but then if still hasn't come, I suggest getting your mom's done at VFS. Wait for dad, as there is 30 day limit to giving biometric and appointments are not always available in first few days

It can be 10 days to 6 months or 200+ days as majority of applicants are waiting in the similar time line. Many since 2021, and a ton since January this year. They’re processing apps in no chronological order

I am in Canada on WP since March 2021.
Applied visitor visa for my spouse in New IRCC portal
Application Submitted : April 12, 2022
Biometrics Completed : April 19
Medical done Prior ( in Aug 2021 and redone again in Aug 2022 and asked to update via webform. Not sure if new medicals are updated)

Update on Aug 15th : We are reviewing your eligibility.

Not sure what's the delay and why each application is processed differently.. This is so frustrating.
I now feel that i did a mistake by applying in New IRCC portal and should have applied in GCkey itself for my spouse. As i see my colleagues who applied in GCkey for their spouses received response in 3 months itself..
