Brother, Singapore CHC is one of the worst offices to process files. If you have any option to get your spouse's passport to Ottawa, you should do that. Even a single passport stamping in Singapore CHC is now taking almost 60-75 days.

Also remember, you can not land (become PR) until your spouse receives his/her COPR. So that means you will get your COPR from Ottawa with in 10-12 days, then you will have to wait till your spouse gets his/her COPR from Singapore. Only then you can land.

So basically you will be stuck with COPR untill your spouse also receives COPR. This is true for ALL applicants.

That's correct....so is it possible to send her passport to canada now? Because I already applied for visa office change? and my passport already stamped....so dont know what i should do now....

Congrats mabhay your long wait has come to an end, atleast for getting the PPR :)

Hope rest of us waiting for that magical email also gets that at the earliest. I am keeping all my fingers crossed, as I called CIC yesterday and they said they cannot do much as the application is with Ottawa now. So the only thing left is to wait, wait and wait

Hello everyone,

Here is my food for thought question, someone may have asked it / answered it before but its time for me to ask

'60' days in the original/first PPR email, is it applicable even if we contacted CIC for a VO change i.e., say we sent a VO change request email but there is no response from CIC for more than 60 days, in this case what would happen to our application? will that be rejected or as we contact CIC for a VO change in-between so this constraint number of days will not apply? Any ideas...

Just checked my pp status on vfs site.it says your passport has been couriered from canada visa application centre..just wanted to know that sometimes they write processed pp but on. mIne its written only passport..what does that mean now

you will get enough time to get your Passport stamped even after the original 60 days.

Hi,

I received the change in VO islamabad Pakistan on June 26th and forwarded my passport on June 27th.

It was received by the CHC Islamabad on 30/06.

It is still not returned back.

Anyone have any experience how long CHC islamabad takes to return passports after stamping?

Based on my experience, the VO change email gave me 45 days from the date of receipt of their email.

Thanks CanadaGoose and chinchin.

Well, not sure if I have put that correctly. I was concerned what if CIC not going to respond with VO change email within the '60 days' of the actual PPR time-frame. Is it going to cause any issue...

Hi hiddenhero and mabhay,

Could you please share your application filed date and AOR received date.

Since you already received your passport, it will be better to send her passport to Singapore. Even though it will take time, but that will be safe.

Sent Passports and Photos Yday (11-jul-2014) thru VFS.
First received on 21-Jun, VO change on 9-Jul.
I got another VO change email Y'day with Photo spec.
