Hi everyone !!

My data:

10th - 71%
12th - 63%
B.E mechanical engineering - 59% ( 8 backlog ) & one year drop.

3 & half years of work experience as mechanical engineer.

IELTS: 6.5 ( W:5.5, Listening: 7.5, Reading 7 , Speaking 6.5 )

I applied at Thompson rivers university or international business for September 2014 intake.

My visa got rejected stating

Other Reason-Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of your qualifications, previous studies, employment,level of establishment,language abilities or your future prospects and plans.

Please guide me for reapplying. As university also did evaluation before giving me admission.

Apply for a course relevant to your previous studies.. and i guess you need a no less than 6 in each band of IELTS
 
bro apply again with strong sop
i cmpltd my mechanical engineering last year n applied for project management
got my visa last week

I will advise u relax till January admission bcos ur case is a tight one. You have engineering background both academic & experience, now u apply for international business? It is not logcal. Now if u change course & re-apply chances of approval is low & also if write SOP what will be ur defense? It would have been better if the program u seek is PGD in nternational business. So try to retry for january intake with better course

Right, But You should seek for PG diploma in mechanical line to make logical progression in your studies. Don't worry about backlogs.

I am sorry but I dont think you changing from Mechanical Engg to business studies is the reason for your rejection. I had studied engg, worked for 10 years as an engineer and had recvd my visa for MBA. I would recommend you to look again at how u r explaining your future propsects and plans. That has to make sense and should not be haphazard and confused.

You may be right but Shalin has not told us the program he applied for whether Master, Diploma etc. In ur own case MBA is for all working class & is a professional master not academic master, if it is academic master u applied for u may be refused.

For an MBA your graduation degree field doesn't really matter. Students with background in medicinal science, technology, business etc can go for MBA. You don't need a specific undergraduate degree for MBA.

if u want another course in ur line thn Engineering business and safety management is good. It is a business programme specially designed fr mech engg guys.

Or else go for MBA

Or else, say why u choose that course in ur SOp. make it damn strong
 
there's nothing wrong in the program or univ, re apply again with some additional documents and a strong cover letter as to why you feel that you are a genuine student. please note that after bachelors in engg, a student may apply for business program.
 
I put up file on 25 June in spp .but my visa application still is being processed...I m afraid n getting a lot stress...how many further days I have to wait Huh?

Is der anything wrong with my visa file???
