Visa Rejected in Past, will it affect my application.

Hi,

I received my ITA on 19th Oct 2016 and currently in process of preparing my application.
I have few doubts which i wanted to clear before proceeding.
Actually, being an Indian passport holder presently I was staying in Ireland for a year and a half from Jan 2015 to May 2016.
I returned permanently from Dublin to India in May 2016 and left my job over there to take care of my parents health in India as they were all alone and needed me.
Since May 2016 i haven't been working.
Below are my doubts:-
1. I applied for a Schengen visa from India in Sept 16 and they rejected citing reasons such as since i don't have any job or no Income tax returns in the past so they can't approve me. Will this affect in some way to my Canadian PR application during BG research?

2. While leaving Ireland I had some dues on my Credit Card, which i didn't clear off as they were not much. Is there a possibility that this will be taken into consideration by CIC if they came to find out?

3. Also, i got my PCC from Ireland in Apr 2016, since i left in May 2016 and i need to submit it since i stayed there for more than an year.
So, is this PCC still valid? Can i submit it?

Please, help me as this is the most important phase for me and this is crucial time for me since everything is done.
Any help will be highly appreciated in this regard.

Thanks.

1. You need to report it in the question asked in one of the forms. They will decide whether its a reason for rejection. Normally rejection citing immigration fraud or security would be a reason to reject PR. Yours doesn't seems to be that serious

2. No

3. PCC is valid for 6 months

Actually my file is already under processing and my Schengen visa was rejected just like 20 days ago.
Also, as such there is no rejection stamp on my passport but i got this physical letter In which tehy wrote few reasons why it was rejected mainly due to lack of job.
There is no immigration fraud or something.

They will investigate and will know you've been rejected. there are countless number of reason to reject ones visa, not all makes you forever banned from immigrating. You shouldn't worry

On the other hand, if you don't report it, and they finds out, that could be ground for accusing you for misrepresentation and bans you from immigrating to Canada

Just tell the truth in your application, wherever asked. But I don't see any reason to be worried about.

Please come back and write here, once your PR application gets approved. This will be helpful to others who may have similar questions in future.

All the best.

1. No, but make sure to answer 'yes' to the question that answers about past visa refusals. CIC don't care about visa refusals when processing for PR- I had a visa refusal from the US myself, and I got my PR

2. Nope

3. No, you need a new PCC

Posting on this thread only as i mentioned that I haven' been working for a while basically since May'2016 and its been close to 6 months now.
So, will this present status of unemployment affect my PR application. I heard someone saying that they can reject since you're unemployed.
Is this true?

It doesn't make sense that unemployment affects your PR application. People apply and get PR while living outside of Canada which means not working in Canada. So it shouldn't matter whether you are employed or not. This is my opinion though.

Experts please confirm.

if u get points on the basis of a certain profile and u can prove all points within a time frame its fine.....ur points get locked after AOR, post that u stay employed/unemployed, it doesnt matter......u were given ITA based on some points which u have earned, staying unemployed doesnt harm those points then u r fine.

schengen is rejected if u r umployed as they believe that u might look for employment and u may settle there BUT PR is all about settling down.

+1 if it makes sense.

if the PR or PNP is contingent on a job offer (in form of LMIA or job pre-approval) you cannot leave your job until land as PR.

In my case this is not true as my points were calculated based on my past work-ex as well education and my IELTS score card. So, i hope this is not valid for me.

Its because you mentioned about your us history. But they never ask from europe consulate about schengen specifically for pr. If you have a forged schengen visa as a travel history for trv application to canada they may ask consulate regarding its authenticity.
