Hello there,

I applied for a visitor visa for myself & my family, we are four, the kids are 4 & 8 months old, I have provided proof of assets, employment, invitation letter, travel history which shows I have been staying in Abu Dhabi since I left my home country, the reason why we're traveling which is a family vacation.

There's no way we'd stay there, my kid is starting school & I have a letter from my employer that I will be coming back.

I am planning to re-apply but I need to fix the rejection reasons 1 by 1, the reasons we got are as follows:

1. Your travel history (we haven't travelled much, so this means we'll be rejected if we apply again?)
2. Your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence (invitation letter is not enough?, ties in my country of residence are my work & kid's school, not enough?)
3. Purpose of visit (what more should I mention)
4. Limited employment prospects in your country of residence (How would this be?)

Is it possible that the application has been rejected since my wife does not have a job here? no reason for her to come back? in this case what proof should I provide?

Thanks

1) Yes your travel history will be an issue again. It's no surprise considering you even admitted you only stayed in Abu Dhabi.
2) Your entire family is leaving with you to Canada, there's no family member back home to go back to, no surprise there. Travelling with your whole family rather than individually will usually result in a refusal most of the time.
3) Need to provide detailed plans as to what you will be doing there. Can't just say , "I'm going on vacation". Need to show dates of which cities you will go. Which hotels you will be staying, the cost per night and showing you have enough funds to cover your stay, need to show plans on how you will travel from place to place, need to show what attractions/events you plan to go, need to show you have insurance to cover your family, when you will be arriving and leaving airport, who will be picking you up, or will you take taxi, etc.
4) Either you're only working at that job for a short time or your job is not a type of job that compels you to return (lower skilled jobs would fall under this category), or you have no job.
