Hey guys, I have a question. This is what the e-case is showing:

• We received your application for permanent residence on September 28, 2012.
• We started processing your application on January 18, 2013.
• Medical results have been received.

Vienna received the application Nov 14, 2012 but didn't start processing till January. So here's my question: is the 12 months processing time from the day it arrived in Vienna or the date they started processing?

As far as I know processing time starts the day Vienna received your complete application.
So you should be done soon :-)

Nada does the ECAs show in Process under the medical Received, once they show in process that mean they are checking the backround

It has been showing "in process" since January, but as the status, so when you click on "in process" it shows the 3 lines I posted earlier, nothing else.

Hi Newpal,
Can you just make a booking with the travel agent? I know that everyone was doing this, so the agency would hold it for you for 2 weeks so you don't actually have to pay until you are certain you have the visa. Also, I believe the agency can also give you the travel insurance required.

Unfortunately, In Germany it is not the case... one has to buy the ticket and they donot book the ticket.
