I certainly will, mine will be different than spousal interview though... But who knows, I expect questions about everything.

Hello everyone!

I've been reading posts in preparation for sending the paperwork in and am now in the process of waiting (papers received by Mississauga September 5/13) to bring my fiancé over. Thanks for all the information! We appreciated it during the preparation process.

I know we're all concerned about the delays with the Vienna office and in looking into it, my fiancé found some good information. The link is put together by the government and lets you look at the general timeline for each office by each type of application. The most recent includes data until April 2013. Unfortunately it won't let me post the link here, but the general timelines for spousal/partner sponsorship at the Vienna office alone is as follows:

Total approval rate: 90%
20% completed in 4 months
30% completed in 6 months
50% completed in 7 months
70% completed in 9 months
80% completed in 11 months

It gives a little more detail than the general one put on the CIC website. It may help people feel a little better about things, although it is noteworthy that the timeline doesn't include the period since the strike began as I believe it's an annual report.

Hi DutchCanadian ;)

Thanks for the timeline, you are nice trying to make us feel better.
Although I had no idea that Nederland belongs to Vienna, or the username means something else? ::)
The land of tulips, how wonderful could it be, my God!!!!

How is everyone? Happy Monday btw ;)
We have a shitty weather today here, its raining really hard :-X

I'm a Dutchy toooo ! Lol look at the flag under my name. There are a lot of dutchies in the Vienna thread right now actually :p

By the way, thanks for the info DutchCanadian ! I'm hitting the 7 month mark soon so hopefully I will get some news soon.

Ooohhh you are right Lv.f. I feel ashamed :-[ :) i am not the best in flags, I know a lot but somehow I mix up the similar looking flags :( its lucky I know the difference the Italian and my own flag ;D ;D

Yeah, this Dutchie is still here too. Work has left me to slow down on creating our application, but we're almost there. Hope to send it this month or early next month. :)

Thanks for the useful info DuchCanadian and welcome!!! Yeah, they only post this 80% info on CIC website - that's the processing time, used to be 11 months in April. We'll see how the annual report for this year will look like.. my guess it will start with 20% completed in 8 months :( I'am in my 7th month now too... Fingers crossed!

Good afternon or Good evening from Canada Ontario, hope this new week will ne a miracle and good week,
dutchCanadian WELCOME TO THIS LOVELY AND Vienna Family Forum , good luck to all of you .

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)! DutchCanadian does refer to my dual nationality. I was born and raised in Canada but received my Dutch citizenship through my dad. I followed in my mother's footsteps and fell for a Dutchman while I was living there ;). But in the end, Canada is where we both feel at home. I'm anxious to get the paperwork approved - but I suppose in this case, patience is a virtue.

By the way, I'm wondering how everyone is able to update their information on the left hand side. Mine does allow me that option...does it depend on your length of time or number of posts?
