Dear all,

Is it okay if I travel and back before my PR expires? I didn't renew it yet and expiring within 1 months time and I have to travel for urgent reason but will be back before it expires within days. Please please need suggestions.

What is the purpose of your question, actually? If you return before the expiry date there's, obviously, no issue.

Sorry I didn't make you clear, I don't have 2 years residency accumulation.
Then it's risky.

You can certainly leave and you can certainly re-enter Canada.

However it's possible you could be reported by CBSA at the border for failing to meet RO in which case you'll be called to a hearing to argue why you should be allowed to keep your PR status.

Thanks for reply. How did they you know one is not meeting the requirement at the port?
They can simply ask you, in which case you must be honest and tell them.

Or if you go to secondary inspection, where they can determine your entry/exit records and if you don't meet the RO.

If you don't meet the RO then upon your return you face being reported and ultimately having your PR status revoked. You better make sure the trip is worth it to put your PR status at risk.

Based on my actual experience- I had to travel to home country to conclude sale of my house. I went there 3 months before expiry and stayed 2 weeks. Due to paper work delay the sale could not be completed.
I then went back once again 2 weeks before expiry and came back 3 days before expiry. At that time ( 2010 approx) there were no electronic terminals so met with officer at POE. ( Toronto)
On looking at my form, I was sent to secondary. At secondary, the officer asked me the reason for travel and then went over my record in the computer. She then gently reminded me that it seems I had quite a bit of travel over the last 5 years and I must fulfil my residency obligations of minimum 2 years out of 5 and let me go. ( As a matter of fact, I was okay with RO obligations )
A few months later I applied for PR renewal. PR was approved around 3 months later but I had to go pick up in person and show all documents.
