I have few questions regarding by Oath letter.
It is 4 pages letter and white color.(NOT a pink color)

1. From page 1, there is information of date, time and address of Oath.
Beside address, there is three digit numbers written.
For example, It is written "058" .
What is this number?
Does anyone know?

2. Page 3 & 4, there are two forms..
Should I really sign and write the date?
Is it ok to write the date of today(the day I've got the letter, instead of Oath schedule date?

Please help... :)
You can sign it now and post date it to the day close to your Oath or you can sign it close to your oath so as to cover the stretch of time in between to cover the gap in case there was a criminality that occurred during that span of time. Not that im saying that there will be, but just to be cover all basis and to lessen scrutiny. For the media thing you can sign it now and date it. Cheers and good luck.

From Oath letter, CIC mentioned that I must bring with following:

1. Oath letter
2. 2 pieces of ID (one should have photograph with signature)
3. Confirmation of Permanent Residence
4. PR card
5. All passport (current and expired)

My question is...
I do not have driver's license. I have BC Service card as ID.

What else can be good examples of ID when bring it to Oath?

SIN card is accepted as ID? (2 pieces of ID, I am thinking BC Service Card + SIN Card)

Those who finished Oath ceremony in Vancouver office recently, please advise.
I need help!!
Thanks in advance!! :)

From CIC:

Two (2) pieces of personal identification

Both pieces of identification should show your name and date of birth, one of which must have your photo on it.

Examples include:

a Canadian driver’s licence
a Canadian health insurance card
a copy of the biographical page of your passport/travel document, etc.
If there is information on both sides of your personal identification documents, provide a photocopy of both sides.

Note: Social Insurance Number (SIN) cards, bank cards and credit cards are not acceptable pieces of identification.

Congrats steeles, higher, rba :D

They only need 3:

1. PR card
2. COPR
3. oath notice

They don't need your passport, if your PR card has no signature, they want to see another government ID with signature to verify e.g. DL , carecard or BC card.

Hello everyone! :) was happy to see few of us here got some oath invitation letters!

@canucksrig, hope yours will come soon! I don't think mine will come until the New Years now, given that people that had their tests in july are just receiving letters now and my test was end of August, but that's ok patience is a virtue ;)

Question for you guys, does anyone know what how come they started charging $400 fee for citizenship this year compared to $200 previously? did something change? :-X

Is it now 300?, then 400 next year?
Website is weird: it says here 300
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp
but the guide says 400
I thought that will take effect next year.
I don't know why they always increase the fee, glad that I only paid 200 last year :D
