RQ stands for residence questionnaire. It is a document they send to citizenship applicants when they want more evidence of actual residence within Canada.

Good news for me today!! I just checked my ecas for the 1st time in about 10 days and here's what I got:

We sent you a notice on May 29, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on June 25, 2014 at 10:05 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Sounds good for Vancouverites! :)

Congratulations!
I am excited, and I hope mine is soon too :)

Thank you!

One question for you, do you know where I could find a certified translator Dutch>English in Vancity? Or just a list of certified translators in general would be good enough.

Hi Guys,
Been away from the forums for about 3 years. Here's my current status as per eCAS:

In Process

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 19, 2013.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 19, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on October 24, 2013.

As I noticed that some people already got their test dates, I was concerned a little bit, thinking that our test invitation letter might have been delayed or lost. So I phoned CIC yesterday, the operator checked my file and advised that we got background checks done, no additional documents required. She said that all seems well and there's nothing else to do but wait until the test invitation is received. So I'm on the same boat as many of you here.

Congrats to those who has already taken & passed the exam and good luck to those who checks the mailbox everyday, like I do :)
