Congrats!

Happy Long Weekend Everyone!

My turn for good news.

I had my oath today!
In total from receipt of my file by CIC to the oath - just 7 month, which is incredibly fast for Vancouver! My entire timeline is in signature.
I have to tell though that I asked for urgent processing of my application on March 5 and they complied with my request, as I was asked to take the test within 2-3 weeks from contacting them. They gave us a call to come take the test the day before the test, so we only had one day to prepare. The test itself was easy, so one day was more than enough to prepare. After the test I think they put everyone in general queue regardless of urgency, since we waited another 7 weeks for the oath.
Finally out citizenship trip is over.

In case anyone is wondering why I asked for urgent processing - I couldn't make a passport for my son from our home country, and we had to travel soon. I had all the documents proving travel, and proof that I can't get a passport.

Wish you guys fast processing and pleasant process with the CIC. My experience with it, both for PR and citizenship applications, is just the best. I won't be checking this forum often, so if anyone is interested in the process, email me.

Good luck everyone!

Congratulations and good luck!

It seems that the time from receiving the application to getting the test is being reduced for Vancouver applicants!

Congrats Stork! Its very motivating to see Vancouver applications moving.

HI Okoy I personally know somebody who took test mid march has their oath tomorrow May 23.
