Validity of police clerance certificate

This is for my friend. Her husband is in us on student visa ( India home country)

She is going to put his file under spouse sponsership

So my question, is der any validity for police clerance certificate in India and USA.?

When CIC asks for PCC, it should have been issued within past 6 months.
