Hi everyone,

I have overall 2 years of Canadian work experience. However, out of these 24 months, I was physically present in Canada for 18 months while I was working from home remotely(from US) for the other 6 months.

From general perspective here, people have recommended to only claim points for 1 year and not 2 years to be on the safe side.

Now my question is, can I use a portion of my total work experience in the EE profile even though the letter of experience that my employer would give would have overall dates corresponding to 2 years?

Ex: If I worked from July 2020 - July 2022 and travelled to USA from Feb 2021 - Aug 2021 and then from April 2022 - May 2022.

Can I list my experience on EE profile as July 2020 - Jan 2021 + Sep 2021 - Mar 2022?

Of course, I would be listing everything in my personal history!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The six months in the US cannot be claimed as Canadian work experience. You can only claim 1 year of Canadian work experience. Split up this work experience into three sections. The two where you were working in Canada and the one where you were working in the US. So yes, you can list the two Canadian parts of your work experience as youve stated above.
