Update...Yesterday we got an email indicating that the CIC could not open the link we sent to her ( CIC dr was right, they can't open attachments!!!)...I have to giggle cause we knew that something would go wrong with the info requested from 1990 last Friday so we couriered the same info in a hard copy on Saturday and it should be delivered today!!!....Keep giving us the hoops CIC and we will jump through them!

Thanks, I am crossing my fingers for you!!!

You don't choose which visa office to handle processing of your application, CIC does. They will decide if to send your application to Ottawa or Manilla. If Ottawa and they decide they want an interview, they will transfer your application to LA. If your office ends up being in Manilla, your interview will be there.

I am freaking out...my husband's papers are still in processing...it hasn't changed at all... Cry Cry Cry

sorta dumb question.
Is 6 months stay for US citizen exactly 180 days or 6 months in general.
I found the passport stamped on May 10, and we don't have any travel plan to cross border until Nov 10 (which will be 184 days)
should we apply for extension of stay before leaving then?

From her post history it seems he's been at processing since May 20th. You can order notes to see what is up, but it's barely been 5 months since your AOR, which isn't that long. Remember, no news is good news. You are probably just in a queue.

There are people that aren't even at the In Process stage who applied in 2014, consider yourself lucky. We applied in January and our application just changed to In Process. It's frustrating, I know. But some people are having it way worse that us. Just stay positive!

I have a question. For the first year and a half my relationship with my fiancé was long distance (then I visited him and moved closer to him so we can have more visits) . We mainly communicated over texts and hangouts, but we have discovered that our phone records with our carriers only go back 6 months, so we don't have a lot of proof of our relationship from before we met in person. Will this be an issue? Since then we have plenty of pictures and plane, bus, and movie tickets and motel receipts and more phone records, which by the time we file will be about 7 months of records since we first met in person (we do have sporadic records from before then).

So you're getting married before applying I assume? As there is no fiancé option. Your proof sounds just fine though.
