Unless this is something new, there is no way to submit the forms electronically online.

hi,so,Ill be applying for outland sponsorship from US..my wife is a canadian citizen... Id like to ask anyone that can reply...Since Ill be staying more here in Canada that in the US while the application is in process..should I write in the forms MY address in the US or my wifes address in Canada so the COPR gets sent to her house(which is where Im staying)? or should I write in the forms my address in the US and later on (when?) update MY address to Her address here in Canada so the COPR gets sent to her and we can Flagpole?

My wife and I would prefer to write down on MY forms her residential address since We want ALL mails form CIC to get here but I dont want CIC to see that I only Have an address in Canada and not in the US...or maybe I could write down on my forms my Residential address in US and in the section Mailing address,,I could write my wifes?

i believe your question has already been asked and answered in another thread. as the other forum member has already suggested, you will want to put the address where you will want to receive your approval letter because that is the address CIC will use to communicate to you. It is far better to give them the right address upfront than risk having it not be attached properly down the line. as an outland applicant, there is NO rule that says you can not use a canadian address in your application. It is perfectly acceptable for an outland applicant to be receiving mail in canada while there as a visitor, worker or student.

thank you..just wanted to have second thoughts..

Just wondering if there is a US outland applicant spreadsheet? Or do we simply use the CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet?

Yup, it's the Ottawa spreadsheet

Just added us to the spreadsheet. Application received by CIC on 29 October 2014. Still awaiting FBI identity document, but submitted copy of application and bank statement showing funds withdrawn. Any idea how long the wait is to get first acknowledgment and get UIC number after submission to CPC-Mississauga?

You most likely won't get anything from CIC until you get Sponsorship Approval. That's taking around 50-60 days right now I think.

Update for you folks,
I sent my CSQ application on the 11 of October and I received my CSQ on the 28th. I think that's a light at the end of the tunnel this time and not an oncoming train ;)

hey guys,
so someone posted a question in the settlement board about importing/exporting a car. something came up that i have never heard before, and am wondering what recent experience has been like for others exporting a car from the us. It is my understanding doucmentation needs to be forwarded to the border office, 72 hours in advance, they confirm, i show up, papers are exchanged and that part's done. what i'm confused about is this new AES system, and this member discussing the difficulty to use it and the "test" needed to take in order to process the export? is this accurate for car exports, or is this person mistakenly following guidelines for commercial exports? i'm REALLY confused now and plan to export my car at the end of the month, so any help with this will be appreciated.

here is the thread the discussion is in:

thanks!

I went to take a look at the AES website and it seems like it is oriented towards companies and for commercial exports. Please keep us updated if you find anything else out.

right? everything i'm reading suggests exporting to canada means that doesn't apply. i just don't know if i'm misunderstanding the process.
i'm calling the border crossing i'll be using tomorrow to see if they can walk me through what to do, so i'll keep you updated.

anyone else with recent car exporting experience?

Thank you! -- Looks like we will be using the same crossing so that is good news - I hope we get the same information.

I know they said they want originals 72 hours before. I was wondering if I could pass by drop off the documents on my drive down to NY before my move and then Drive up 72 hours later to "land." I will be in Ottawa until COPR. I need to call and ask them this also!

funny! yes, it's my border of choice, even though the ogdensburg one is closer to ottawa. that bridge scares the cr*p out of me!

i was thinking the same thing. we are headed back to ct for thanksgiving, so i figured i can drop it off on my way out which will be 4 or 5 days before exporting.

i'll keep you updated on my conversation w border patrol.

Oh I know exactly what you mean. My husband and I won't go through there anymore even though his family's home is like.. 5-10 minutes from there.

It just does not feel safe and it doesn't help that every single time I went through there I got stopped, they hate me there and we've never had problems going through the 1000 Islands.
