How can I order notes? We did email them but they said that our application is within the timeframe.
I'm on my phone and maybe I'll update later but it's pretty well documented in the forum if you search a little. I think you're also active on the Nov thread and I recall some instructions were posted pretty recently there if you check.

It says in Process. We haven't had an update since Feb 22 when our BGC started. We emailed them but all they said was our application is within the time frame.

Hi all!

I have an update on my situation. My husband, as of March 10, is living and working in Canada on work visa tied to his current employer. We were planning to do the outland sponsorship. However he just got an excellent job offer, but they would need him to start in a 3 to 4 month time frame. If I get the outland sponsorship done by end of month, it will take at least six months for him to get the open work permit. Given this situation, would this community of folks recommend inland, or is there some other route to get him an open work permit asap. Also, if we do inland, what are the chances of entry/rentry privileges in Canada being an issue?

Thanks!
n

Can't the new employer sponsor him for a new work permit? There is nothing that says he can't have two.

Got PPR tonight :D

I know it's been talked about before, but I can't find the page in this thread. Was there a specific sized Xpress prepaid mailer to use, or will any of the ones at the post office do?

Also, just to clarify, the PPR email says "If you are holder of passport(s) from countries whose citizens need an eTA to travel to Canada or a holder of passport(s) from the United States, you will need to submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you and for each accompanying family member".... what counts as an amendment?

Thanks, so thrilled this is almost finally over...

First off COngrats!!!!Any time you had something added to your passport. Not a stamp but a VISA to another country etc. As a US citizen you only need to send the BIO page, two passport photos (Canadian requirements) and PPR page.

The OP was referring to the size of the envelope from Xpresspost.

We used a standard size for the return envelope, and mailed it off to Ottawa in a letter sized one. I think.

Got PPR Tuesday night, sent everything out Wednesday afternoon, and it was delivered Thursday morning (today). The worst is over for me, and I couldn't be more relieved! Thank you to everyone answering my questions (despite being repetitive at times)! I hope everyone still waiting gets quick processing on their applications! Now, to wait for the COPR ;D

Congrats to everyone that go PPR! We got ours yesterday morning ;D ;D

Questions on shipping out the info:
My husband (the PA) lives near the border in the US and comes up to Canada every weekend; is there any reason why we can't ship his photos and stuff from Canada and get his COPR sent to my place in Canada? Not only would it save us on shipping costs, but from what I read it seems easier to use Xpresspost. I'm guessing that when I get his COPR, he would just come to my place as usual and then we go to the border and flagpole? Not sure if it's an issue that it'd be going to me and not him.
