I am not certain about the requirements for your children, but I don't think you will need too much since they already Canadian citizens. For the finances... I don't think you will need much proof at all. Your husband will need to send Option C as stated in the application if he has that from any prior years of work in Canada, but I don't know how long that has been. I would send a copy of joint bank account statements and if he has a job in Canada/offer I would sent proof of his salary.

I don't think this is a ton of help, but I thought I would try. Good luck!

1) Your financial info should be more than enough, a joint bank account statement or letter from the bank showing that it's a joint account is all I would add if you haven't already.

2) No you don't need affidavits, doesn't hurt to have a letter or two though from family.

3) I think they will need photo ID to enter Canada, they are supposed to have at least a birth certificate or citizenship card + photo ID. The cards may be enough for the application since that's all they ask for from the sponsor.

4) Right, only need photos of you, the applicant, in this case.

Thank you! He has lived outside of Canada for 15 years so no Option C but we'll have the bank account info, a letter from his current employer and hopefully an offer letter from Canada (fingers crossed!). I posted a few months ago and people thought it would be enough for him just to show strong intent of moving back to Canada with interviews scheduled. We're concerned that with the process taking 6-12 months we want to apply as soon as possible. I also need to get a background check from Japan and they need a letter from CIC to initiate that process, so that will probably mean it takes my application longer to be processed in general? I have my other foreign background checks already and am waiting for the FBI one to come through.

We also have a letter from his current employer stating his salary and our US tax returns. I was planning to send those with our current bank information. If you think that's not enough please let me know. Thank you for your reply!

Thank you! We're planning on getting Canadian passports for the kids before we move but since they'll only be valid for 5 years and we have 3 kids, we are hoping to wait until closer to our actual moving date. Good to know we only need photos for me!

Good to know we only need a bank statement. We might ask for a letter or two from some Canadian friends. My husband no longer has family in Canada, but plenty of friends. We could also ask family in the U.S.

I just checked my ECAS and it says Decision Made! Woo!

Timeline:
Application Received: April 29, 2015
Sponsorship Approval: May 28th, 2015 (Decision letter sent by email on June 25th)
In Process in eCAS: Noticed on August 18th, 2015 (Processing application since June 4th)
Generic email: October 23rd, 2015
Decision Made: December 6th, 2015
COPR: Hopefully ASAP!

They extended my medicals by quite a lot, thankfully, so I didn't have to be reassessed. Only three lines in my eCAS including medical results received. Hoping for more DMs for everyone still waiting!

I'm not them but the last time my ECAS was updated with a new line it was between 12AM to 4AM early wee hours Saturday. I know this because I had a problem and then started obsessively checking ECAS - once at midnight (no update) and once before I finally beat insomnia and decided I could sleep (4AM). So I have a feeling it can't only be updated on Tuesdays.

Is there somewhere to look at what date it's official? All I know is that the status changed from IP to DM on ECAS somewhere between when I checked on Saturday and Sunday.

I can't get in either! Driving me nuts. Another person with a similar situation and timing to myself just got a good-news-email (Not DM though ) so I am kind of on the edge of my seat hoping there is some update for me. I mean, probably not, but a girl can hope right?
