I just logged into my account and my application finally got DM!!! ;D

We were so busy this weekend moving (again) and I haven't had any time to check my application status. I applied back in November, so the wait has been terrible. I put in my change of address online and hope that they send my COPR here and not my old apartment. I'll just keep checking there too. I'm just relieved...

Thanks to everyone who contributes here...it did make my process a lot easier and less stressful. For those of you who only applied at the beginning of this year...be thankful that you're getting through this process a LOT faster than most. My heart goes out to anyone who applied in Sept/Oct/Nov and still don't have a decision. Hang in there, I'm sure it's coming soon!

cheers!
Diane

Congrats!!! :)
about your address, maybe try the call centre and tell them you're waiting on your COPR but your address in ecas never changed. They should be able to tell you what address they have on file. I hope they'll be helpful anyways!

Thanks for the well wishes, as I'm a September applicant still waiting! I think I'm close judging by my notes I got yesterday though!

I was wondering if someone can give me some assistance? I am a U.S. citizen married to a Canadian citizen and about to send in my PR app, but I am stuck on how to answer a few questions. I am in Canada staying with my husband since October 2014 on visitor status having re-applied and approved for 6 more months. On my application when it asks where I live or my address do I put my U.S. address or the address of my husband? At anytime on my app should I put his address or always use my U.S. address? Also on the sponsor questionnaire when it asks if anyone lives with him does he say yes and put me?
So confusing as I am allowed to be here as a visitor but not allowed to live here but have been here since October.
I am applying outland if that makes a difference.

Thanks so much!

You can put your Canadian address and say you live together and still be Outland, I believe.

It's official! I received my COPR in the mail today! They sent it to my new address too which I am happy about...

Thanks again to everyone for their help in making this process seem a little less daunting. I plan on sticking around here to answer any questions I can to help others get through this too! Pay it forward! 8)

cheers!
Diane

P.S. Now to go over to the spreadsheet and update my info!

Yes, this is exactly what I've done, since I'm applying common-law. I've been in Canada since December 2013. I leave every 5-6 months for a few days and come back to reset my time, but yeah, you also have the extension option that you are using. I leave so I can visit my family. CIC is pretty much fine with you "living" in Canada. It's the CBSA that takes issue with the term. Always use "visiting" with them!

Just put the address where you are living with your husband and yes, he should say that he lives with you on the Sponsor questionnaire. Just be as thorough and up front with all of the information as you can be. :)

Thanks! I feel overwhelmed with the paper work and answering correctly! I am going home to the states soon with the hubby and will remember to use "visiting" when answering questions when driving over the border and back again!

One other thing....does anyone know on the form IMM0008 when they ask for dependents do I have to list my son who is 22 and has no interest in ever moving to Canada.
Thanks again for the answer!

Can someone let me know if the AOR will come to my wife by mail or by email. Thank you

Update....CIC LA has indicated we do not have to send in an entire new Rehab application they are going to request the current one we have in New York from there...I still cant figure out what the rehab has to do with anything when my hubby has a valid TRP and has already been deemed Rehab by CIC and by time... but whatever...apparently we wont be getting a PR for a while.. Congrats to everyone else!!!.

This whole process is really causing a ton of anxiety. I applied Jan 2014 and finally just received an in process July 3rd. My open work permit finished July 6th (I've applied for a visitor's extension but haven't heard back about that yet). They had to ask me for more information regarding my ability to support myself and I guess that's why my application is so delayed. It's now been 19 months with a 14 month time estimate.

Does anyone know if "in process" is a good sign or is it just a status change?
