Urgent:Which is safest way to send Passport to CPP-O from India?

Dear All,
One good news for me to share!
Just, yesterday I got an email from CPP-O. They asked me to submit my passport to High Commission of Canada, New Delhi by post or through VFS Canada within 60 days. Now, I 'm a bit relieved!

However, in the last paragraph they suggested me "In the meantime, we suggest that you not make any commitments related to the application until your case has been concluded. Any steps that you take now e.g. giving up employment or accommodation or taking other commitments concerning your proposed migration or visit to Canada will be at your own risk".
What is the meaning? They will again take any other decision???
I hope they will only send me back my passport after visa stamping!

Hi Sid,
Our MEA office send me a reply this afternoon to contact RPO again and told that RPO will suggest accordingly. I don't know what is that accordingly. However, they wrote "you better contact High Commission of Canada, New Delhi." To get this reply it took 15 days. Whereas, I got reply from CPP-O within week time and now I will be sending passport to High Commission of Canada, New Delhi as suggested by CPP-O.
Hope this updated information will help all who are in India now(applied from Canada).

Until you get your passport back with visa stamp, do not quit current job etc. they are telling this because until you get visa / land in canada, there is no 100% guarantee that it is approved (visa can be refused at this stage of processing because of issue with passport such as discrepancies with information submitted during application ).

Just wait until you get your passport back. Everything will be alright.

Does the problem happen because people move to India after applying PR in Canada but do not update CIC about that Indian Address?
Because i heard that CIC will transfer the file to New Delhi if the address is updated.
I know a fiend who updated his address to Delhi and he had to submit his passport to Delhi only.

Now I have to take decision again to go back to Canada! I have been given only 6 months validity.

I have submitted my passport at new delhi office thorugh VFS, on 14th-oct-2013 and still waiting for passprts to be retunred.

Does anyone know whom we can contact at new delhi office for follow up? I have checked with VFS and they are saying thy can't do anything as it Is processing with CIC,new delhi.

As per timelines given, I should get it within 20 days

I have applied under CEC and as per CIC Ottawa, I hav submitted my passports at new delhi office for stamping////

I am not sure what is the process following by CIC. In my Application I had indicated New Delhi as my Visa office and also updated my Indian address after moving back.....but I was still I was asked to submit the passport to CPP -O.
