Hi everyone! I received my SOWP extension in Jan 2026 after my Husband’s PGWP approval. Then I applied for TRV on 16 July 2026 because I had to travel to India urgently for my husband’s surgery. I raised a webform on 20 July 2026 requesting early approval with my husband’s medical report and doctors notes stating that he requires surgery. Then I travelled to India on 28 July 2026 but I have not received TRV yet. I called IRCC and they said my eligibility, criminality check is passed but security check is in process, they do not need any additional documents. This is the situation for almost 4 weeks now. It would be great help if anyone was in the same situation recently and got TRV approved while in India but applied in Canada. What are the insights? should I raise any webform? Should I inform that I traveled to India and should I just enquire about my application status since it has passed the processing time. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes you must update your address to inform IRCC that you are in India.

Hi! Thanks for the response.Should I inform through a webform or call? Will this affect my application? Because it is at last security check?

Send a webform. Should not impact the substance of your application. Processing time including time to get stamping will likely be impacted. If you have new proof of urgently needing to return to Canada I would include that as well. An example would be having to return to Canada due to job requirements for example. You should include a letter from your employer specifying why you need to return to Canada asap if that is the case.

Check the processing office - if it is CN INDIA - then there processing time is around 2 months (personal experiences). and you can also ask your MP office to help you with ircc app.
