Urgent suggestion

Can you guys please give me a suggestion based on your observations here how long it might take to get a date for test after we apply? I am assuming a minimum of 2 months now.

The problem is I am planning to visit my home country and wanted to check the duration so that I can plan accordingly. Also, I believe visiting home country for a month or two might not have any affect on my application.

I really appreciative your suggestion and it's really urgent for me.

Inform cic about your trip and give them dates

you can postpone the test if you receive the date while you're out of country. Someone I know did that.

Send an early email via web form to CIC and inform them. I did this and they gave me a test date outside my travel plans. Beware though it takes them six weeks to acknowledge.
