I'd suspect that most people would normally do more for their employer than they would for one customer... Just make sure your employer includes everything.

My client gave a very good detail about my duties.So I will copy the same duties in the employer letter. Hope it does not annoy the visa officer!!!

I can quick review that's not a problem. But I would say you are too much worrying.. if you ask 2 people you will get 2 or 4 opinions, it may make things worse. While asking suggestions and opinions are good, depending on it too much and ignoring your own idea may cause you issues. At some point you have to take the decision, or else this thread will go forever Just my thought!!

I also came here as ICT and from the day one I am working from Client's office, at their IS division. So my client IS manager know better my duties and resp. than my Company manager. I never met my own company manager in person and never worked from my company's original office location here in Canada. It is not just me we are many ICTs are like that. We have the word 'onsite' for that in IT field.

As usual and as most of us are facing, I got it, but not as per CIC requirement, but as per "company policy and approved format". Then my client manager was kind enough to give me a detailed one.

At least you are lucky that you have the control on both letters..

yes that's right, it has dates, annual salary, position etc. but duties and resp were missing. Then client manager gave me one with duties and resp.

My supervisor gave me the letter but I recently found out that he resigned from the company. But he still agreed to take any calls from cic after he left as well. Would this be a problem now?

It's really hard to say as there is no guidance on this kind of situation. Hope for the best

If the client letter mentions only ur designation, salary, hours but no duties, then You would definitely need to attach your supervisors letter showing your duties and write an explanation letter regarding this. I did the same as my agency gave me only basic details and was not giving me the duties. It mentions on the CEC doc checklist that if your unable to provide a letter of your duties then u need to mention why?
Most companies do not give away a letter stating your duties.

My client letter only talks about my working hours and duties. My HR did not provide any letter to me. Hence, I attached my salary letters,T4's, NOA's and WP extension letters given by my employer. Hence, I convinced my supervisor as well to provide a letter with the duties and responsibilities.

Then you're good to go man. Once you get ur letter of duties send that as well.
