Thanks for reply.

I am from India.
I went for PCC to dsp office today, they told me they need canada ambessy letter for pcc demanding.

Should I submit my application without pcc.
Or according to new rule all documents are included

As per new revised rules, you can submit your application without PCC and submit later to VO when they ask for it.

Thanks

ved2003, Perhaps, the police man you met thought that you had got a job with the Canadian High Commission and needed PCC to submit to them as HR requirement. Go back to the area DSP/DCP office and tell him clearly that you need PCC for immigration purposes. You will need to fill-up a form there and pay requisite fee (Approx Rs 50). They will do the verification at your given address and their Criminal Record Office. You should have your PCC in 2-3 weeks.

Cheers...

the easiest and simple way if you are from Delhi and passport is issued by Delhi- Go to passport office and apply for PCC. Only INR 300 expense and one 8 hours job to get this

Yes Passport Office is the Best Bet... I did the Same will be recieving my PCC in 5 days ... Easy process

Why are you going to any other place.

Just go to Passport office from where your passport is issued, which means they already have your police clearance for issuance of passport.

Use the second form for miscellaneous activity, pay 300/- fees and mention that you need PCC for Canada. They will release your passport next working day , either you can collect or will be setn by speed most within 3working days.

Thanks,
Nad

The passport office will give the PCC only if your passport has been issued or renewed in the past six months. If your passport is older than that then they wont issue the PCC

The fact Posted by: destinationBC
"The passport office will give the PCC only if your passport has been issued or renewed in the past six months. If your passport is older than that then they wont issue the PCC "

This is completely unrealistic! as I and my wife got our PCC done which we got back just in 3 working days delivered to home, actually been asked to collected in one working day

Our passport are older mine is 2005, my wifes 2002

I hope I can vouch for the same!! BUT I believe only reason to worry as I have earlier mentioned to would be to choose same Passport office which has issued the passport
Thanks

Hi Ved, if you are submitting your documents to CIC then no need for PCC at this point of time, however its better to keep the PCC ready...i had a same experience from gujarat police, they asked me the letter from canada embassy for getting PCC...what i've done is, i got the print out of the "Check List" wherein its mentioned that we need to obtain the PCC for canada immigration...so what i suggest you is, take the print out of the "Document Check List" and submit them...you will get this check list from the "download application form" section in www.cic.gc.ca

I applied to Passport Office for PCC.. i got it in record 3 days... delivered to my house
