Hello!

Hopefully someone can help me out here.. freaking out a bit!

My husband and I submitted his PR application and we forgot to include the Option C form - I am self employed so I need to explain my income as well as why I do not have an NOA as we just moved to Canada ( I am canadian but was abroad for 5 years)...

I am going to try to stop the UPS shipment first thing in the morning, but if we can't, should we just send another envelope with this missing document and perhaps a copy of his Passport?

I really don't want my husbands PR application to be rejected because of this.

I don't think they will have a way to link your first package with your option c envelope. They won't reject the application because of the missing document, they will send it back so you can complete and then send back to them.

Thanks!

But in general, how long does this take to be notified? I don't want him to be kicked out of the country during this time..does he still have his implied status during this time? and would it just prolong the OWP application as well?

I was hoping to courier this out tomorrow morning so it arrives the following day - also was going to include the Receipt that fees were paid to link it to that application as well the UPS Tracking number

What do you think?

Hi

The Option C or NOA is only required if you are actually working in Canada and have something to actually show on the document. IRCC doesn't want or need your tax info from 5 years ago.

Did you include a letter of explanation about not having an NOA because you were outside of Canada and a plan on how you will support yourselves?

This is the exact letter that I forgot to include - it explains how we will support ourselves as well as why I do not have an NOA at the moment and that I am currently working in Canada now that we are back in Canada

I did include a letter from my family member stating that they will take us in during the application process paying our rent and such.. showing they are also supporting us. I just forgot to include my own employment.

Best case scenario if you do not get to stop the shipment tomorrow is to mail in your letter of explanation, linking it to your original application with as much detail as possible in terms of name/application name/ uci if you have it, explaining how you forgot to attach that as part of your application. They can either accept that as part of your original application, or not accept it. In any case, without that explanation letter, there is a huge chance that your application will be returned so it is perhaps best to give mail it in and hopefully they will attach it to your application! ALL THE BEST!

Well, a family letter is not quite exactly what they ask for, so it's possible that the app would be returned. It's also possible that they will accept the letter you sent as sufficient and process the app or request more financial proofs.

If your husband's current status (I'm assuming he is here as a visitor) is close to expiry, you should consider applying to extend it separate from the PR app.
