How long as your TRV been expired? If it's less than 90 days you should still be OK - you can apply for Restoration of Status and wait until that is granted, then do the flagpolling procedure (safest option).

Have you read this page about Restoration of Status? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/validity/restoration.asp

There is a section there that seems to indicate that you might be able to just simply go straight to the border and apply for a work permit with your support letter. The only catch is that this can be risky - if there are any problems with your immigration record you will be denied entry back into Canada. Only try this if you're absolutely certain that everything is clean.

Thank you for the reply Quink,

My trv is expired last October, but I applied for work permit extension and got rejected last January because of not having the pnp certificate, I also applied for visitor visa on January via paper based,
then comes my pnp nomination on feb, last march my advisor tell me that they are gonna apply re apply for work permit extension online. Hoping that the work permit will come first, so my question is do you think I still got a clean record and if I'm still eligable for flag polling?

Thanks a lot,
April
Can you tell me when you applied for bcpnp? My frends had applied in aug and he has same thing like you but after got rejected for visitor visa he returned to home country.
