uploading requested documents... should we send PDF filled in without signature?

got a request to fill in gaps in background IMM 5669 and to return the documents using the Case Specific Enquiry online form at a specific CIC link


is it ok to fill in the PDF forms and send them directly which would have no way of signing them?

or do we need to print them out, sign them, then scan them, then return the scans to CIC?
