Updated SIN after CORP & COVID-19

Hi All,

CORP received today and I am seeking assistance form anyone who may have updated there SIN number online after getting CORP.

I have a Temporary SIN and submitted a change of status online along with my CORP,

Has anyone done this previously during COVID and what is the timeline for getting the new SIN?

Hi, did you get the new sin ? how long did it take ? And it was indeed the 'Change of status' option that we need to select ?

I applied for my new SIN on Sunday the 14th of June and received my new SIN in the mail yesterday, June 25. You have to go on to the Service Canada website and apply there, assuming you're an inland candidate.

Thank you for the clarification. It is of great help. Once you received your new SIN, the old one automatically gets terminated ?
