Unable to check status of PR renewal application

Hi all, we submitted our applications on April 19 2023. We did not receive any confirmation email that our application was received or a confirmation number.

On the CIC website, our application status is "Submitted" but the View application button is inactive.

We linked our application to the IRCC website but now we only see our old application when we received our PR the first time 5 years ago. There is no mention of the new application. Are we following the process correctly? Please advise on how we can see our application status.

You wont be able to see your new application on GCKey until it is picked for processing. you are doing the right thing, just keep on trying to link your application.

Additionally you can call IRCC at 1 (888) 242-2100 and check as to which date applications are under process right now.

Thank you. We linked it using a sign-in partner. But the linked page shows our old application when we first received the PR card. Do we keep trying to link again? Not sure how this works.

Yes, as I said, the system wont search your new application until IRCC has picked it up for processing. Since you are not sure as to when your application processing will start the only way is to keep trying to link.
