Help !

Does anyone know if I am a UK citizen/passport holder and we apply for Spouse sponsorship whilst my husband is in Canada and I am working/living in Dubai.

Will the second stage be processed in London or in UAE, as there is a huge difference in processing times.

you can choose the processing office, either your country of residence (UAE, visa office Abu Dhabi), or country of nationality (UK, London office).

HUGE processing difference times London is one of the fastest (80% completed in 9 months), and Abu Dhabi one of the longest - 22 months... so - go for London! in the form, IMM0008 you are asked which office should process your application: choose London.

CIC can still decide to send your application to Abu Dhabi if they feel that you have stronger links to UAE than the UK ( for example: you have a UK passport but never lived in the UK etc), but always worth asking for London... also because you are visa-exempt, you won't have to send in your passport to the embassy, if you go through London, once the process is done, you will receive the COPR ( confirmation of PR) at the mailing address you indicate on your application ( you can choose UK or UAE, or even Canada if you move there before the end of the process).
