in May 2019 I applied for TVR for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and within a fortnight or less, I was refused. Then again in Aug I reapplied, again refused. Now on Sept i reapplied and still waiting.. there are certain things IRCC says.... I used MP from the particular area letter as supporting documents. I am above 45, single and have no property True, no ties to pull me back to Karachi but i hv no intention of overtstaying I worked for immigartion lawyers in teh 90's I did not show interest then, why now?
The case manager is helping but there is one thing and i will copy paste it, and wonder if it can b explained.. Quote

after speaking to Case Manager I recd this reply......


The event is on Oct 12th and today is 17th.... can someone help me as I was refused for almost a decade and I never complained or reapplied but being my parent golden jubilee, my mum a cancer patient doctors are not allowing her to travel. I have given 2 supporting docs of MP, other letters from work, subs. etc the works... is there some one I can contact someone else - why is Prime Minister not allowed to intervene. If any one could give his number i would be grateful. All I get is that automatic machine which I doubt they hear message - thats why no priority is given. Secondly, i applied for only 3 weeks... whereas my office has given me a month leave....

So can I can some answer PROFESSIONAL ONES. as to who to contact. I agree all busy with elections but this can help them at least from my family to get votes.....

Unfortunately MP support letters are useless when it comes to getting a TRV application approved. We generally recommend that people do not include them in their TRV applications. To get a TRV approved, what you want to do is show strong ties to your home country such as employment, property ownership and other assets. If you decide to reapply, you will want to include stronger evidence of ties to have a chance for being approved (if you have additional evidence to provide).

The Prime Minister's contact information is not give out publicly. None of us have it. Even if we did - the PM would not get involved in a matter such as this. The MP is the right person to be contacting for support - however there is limited power they have. They can inquire on your behalf but cannot overturn a decision by IRCC. Political officials are not allowed to overturn IRCC decisions to prevent corruption / bribery.

I'm not sure what you mean by "I was refused for almost a decade". Do you mean that you've applied multiple times over the last 10 years and been refused numerous times? How did your parents get PR status / citizenship?

Since then i have appied every summer vacation but always refused. Due to which i took two trip out of the country for travelling experience. Everyone talks of ties, etc. even those who do have the personl ties assests, liquidize and stay back. it is only for 3 weeks. yet they want families to be together? I worked for immigration lawyers earlier but when ppl told me to put in the papers, leave this country i didnt want to ....i thought it was selfish i leave my family behind but now its the ohter way round.
Why cant MP just put a call to the Visa Officer since its genuine case? PM can intervene if he wants too - that why ppl get aslym etc. i gtg.... chat later... help me get some imp nos contacts if possible.. time is running out....

Again, MPs cannot influence decisions. As already explained, they do not have this power and the Canadian government is set up this way to prevent corruption / bribery and to ensure IRCC can make decisions independently.

It's extremly rare that the PM interves in a case. Almost no one gets asylum through the PM intervening. Almost everyone who gets asylum does this through applying and having a genuine case. Nothing to do with PM intervention.

Your only realistic option is to reapply showing much stronger ties. Since your entire family is in Canada, you will have to demonstrate very strong ties to be approved.

Perhaps you could have your Prime Minister telephone the Canadian PM? That would make more sense as you pursue your temporary stay in Canada.

An MP cannot guarantee that you will not overstay. IRCC processes over a million TRVs each year, so of course the PM is not going to get involved in your case.

There are no people for you to contact. Did you request GCMS notes every time you were refused?
