TRV From Inside Canada - Normal Processing Time Has Passed

I found an email of the Ottawa office(check the link I have shared).
I wrote them directly and asked about my application(they say we can do it).
Hopefully it will speed up the process.

Hi how soon did they respond to your email and how did they request for passport after contacting them
This is the most depressing episode I have faced . I missed my brother wedding last year when I received my passport the Monday after his wedding over the weekend. Now it is deja vu all over again and I am about to lose $2k non refundable I paid for my vacation to Europe. When I applied online based on processing time of 5 days, I assumed worst case scenario in 2 weeks I will receive my passport. If by June 19, 2019 I don't receive notification my passport has been mailed back I lose the non refundable because it take 2 days from Ottawa to Calgary and I still have to go for my in person Schengen interview on June 24, 2019 and I need my passport back.
May 22, 2019: submitted the application online from inside Canada
- June 10, 2019: received passport request
- June 10 2019,: mailed the passport to Ottawa from Calgary,Alberta
- June 11, 2019: Passport received by CIC
- Waiting to receive passport
My advice is don't book any trip until you have the counter foil in your passport.
May 22, 2019: submitted the application online from inside Canada
- June 10, 2019: received passport request
- June 10 2019,: mailed the passport to Ottawa from Calgary,Alberta
- June 11, 2019: Passport received by CIC
- Waiting to receive passport
My advice is don't book any trip until you have the counter foil in your passport.

Have you tried calling ? Emailing ? What is the reason behind the delay?
I did send a case specific inquiry and shortly after I received my passport request. I was told when I called prior to this that it would take close to a 30days because it is summer and this is the peak period when tourists visit the country. Hopefully my tracker gets activated latest by Wednesday, so I can make my trip.
Made a mistake by not spending an extra $100 to be able to reschedule by flight because I assumed I would get the TRV in a maximum of two weeks.
Did you apply from inside Canada? Because tourists can not get visiting visas from inside Canada they would have to get it from their home countries therefore their explanation doesn’t make sense, if you’re inside Canada I suggest you call again and ask them to leave a note to the officer working on your case to dispatch the passport urgently I read in the forum that someone requested that, it’s worth a shot

I will give it till Friday this week and if i don't hear from them, i will risk it by withdrawing and applying for a new one
Did you apply before for TRV inland?
I have applied last year and it took a week only.
