Hi all, I have applied for an extension of my TRV at the beginning of the month and I am wondering if anybody knows or have an approximate idea of how long I would expect to be waiting for it to be processed.

Thanks and have a good day. (=

110 days if you sent the application by mail.

Well thanks a lot, it seems I've gotten lost around CIC's site and overlooked that table ><

And 48 days ain't that bad since I applied on-line but it's still after my Visa is due expiration =/ Oh well.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

That is not an issue as you are on implied status from the time they receive your extension application until they reply to you (yes or no).
I assume you sent the application with a recorded delivery (signature on receipt request).

would that be the same with me? i'm from an excempt country too (denmark)
and i got issued a number in my passport along with my stamp (entered canada on oct. 21st 2010 and left november the 17th going back to england where i live)
it says "v-20al2011" not too sure what that means? but i'm planning on going to canada again on the 12th of janurary 2011 would that still mean i can get into the country
but obviously with a satisfaction of an immigration officer at the port of entry?

"v-20al2011" is six months from when you arrived.

Getting back into the country is as you say dependent on the "satisfaction of an immigration officer at the port of entry".

If you left Canada before the date shown in the passport, respected the rules, have proof that you can support yourself in Canada and can show that you will leave.....
Visiting Canada again should be OK.

I assume these are social visits not business.
