Thank you very much, we are so relieved to be all done with it, time to move forward. I only got 3 years before I need to extend it, is that normal do you think?

    Sponsorship Cost

tink23 got that pretty much right. It's a pretty costly process, we decided to pay half of the right of permanent residence fee, and wait for them to process it halfway through, then pay the rest just after i did my medical exam. That way it's not such a huge amount to deal with at once.

I would honestly not worry too much about proof. We sent in about 15 pictures, not even a single proof of Skype or any kinds of chat logs, text messages or any of that kind. Just some simple proof such as joined bank accounts, some pictures and a declaration of common law relationship as well as...

Thanks :) I can't wait to pay off the rest if the permanent resident fee and be all done with this. I am having another docs appointment for my suspected malignant melanoma on Friday, and I sincerely hope it's all benign or an early stage and can be dealt with quickly. I am wanting to travel...

Thank you, Ponga. Yes, it is indeed very scary. It happens unusually quick as well, don't even remember having that mole. Had two suspicious ones removed yesterday for a biopsy, and hoping the test are nothing more than melanoma in situ or something like that. It hurts, never knew that would...

Hehe thank you so much. I went to the Marlboro (or whatever mall it's called with service Canada) and I wouldn't recommend going there, we were met rudely by this lady (didn't even get to say what we wanted to do) before she said in a snappy voice "we ONLY accept birth certificates for sin...

I tried to activate my ab health care at a registry with the AIP emails, but she wanted to see the actual work permit. But otherwise I'd just fill out the application and send it to their office in Edmonton (or wait until you get the OWP) they process it quite fast :)
