TRV application From India (outside Canada) on a Valid Work Permit (extension)

What is your status in Canada?

I'm on work permit. I'm here in canada and my daughter and husband stuck in india due to this trv thing. Do you have any suggestions? Should I contact local MP

I also don’t know what they have been doing, really saw every post on internet and i think its totally dependent on luck .some are getting approval within few days and for some like me its taking so long

Exactly, it’s very random. Many people getting PPR in 15-20 days.. hopefully we’ll get ours soon.

Fyi…. count your days excluding weekends and holidays (I know it doesn’t make the situation better). Sucks to be in this situation.

So daughter has TRV or us in Canada? Why not SOWP? You can contact MP to find out status.

Yes i hope we all will get our PPR soon, but i read somewhere maybe on IRCC website that we count everyday in processing even weekends. I am not sure about that.

They already gave me an extension until 15 may but that too have been passed and i am in talk for more extension , this wait has really been so hectic

With current timelines and then up to 30 days for passport stamping then ask for July. Ask what transcript will state if you want PGWP.

Posted processing times don’t always reflect reality. Comparing to similar applications from your home country typically will give you a better idea of actual processing times.

I again contacted MP office twice and they replied that they again checked with ircc and ircc said my file has been sent to the office for review on may 14th. I think this means that now it is on final stage but haven’t seen anything on portal

I hope you get your ppr soon… if you don’t get an update by this week, try submitting a webform.

I know it’s a frustrating situation, we’re on the same boat. Keep patience.

Thankyou so much , I also hope you also get your ppr soon. I already submitted a webform on 30th and got the reply from MP after that.

Hey, just joining here as I am in a similar situation.

Returning student, applied from outside Canada
Applied on April 17th.
May 8th, BVL and final decision update saying application still in progress.
May 9th, my tracker updated to eligibility completed and the visa document details.
Still waiting for PPR

Sent a webform on May 27th, and yesterday they replied saying that they confirm it is still in progress.
