TRUE/FALSE-cannot apply for TRV if WP or BOWP will expire in less than 6 months?

Hello

Does anyone know if TRV cannot ( ) be applied when it is less than 6 months before the expiry of the Work Permit (or BOWP)?

Meaning one cannot apply for TRV if WP or BOWP will expire in less than 6 months?

If you could also refer to CIC webpage or any law that stipulates this would be great!

You can apply for TRV even if your WP or BOWP will expire in less then 6 month. The only backside of this will be that your TRV will have the same validity as your WP or BOWP.
And I know this from my own experience.

+1 on this, also based on my personal experience.

In addition, if your passport has shorter expiry compared to your WP or BOWP, the TRV expiry will be the same as your passport.

False, You can apply TRV although WP is less than 6 month for expire
