I have a question when you have a visitors permit or work permit and you are waiting for a response and the current one expires and you submitted a new application what happens can you still work since you are in limbo? You also have applied for a extension within the timelines and extra early how does this all work can someone explain please and thank you. 8)

Your subject line says "TRP". Do you have a "TRP" (temporary resident permit) or a "TRV" (temporary resident visa). There is a massive difference.

You'll need to provide a lot more details in order for anyone to answer your question. What type of work permit did you hold before it expired? When did the work permit expire? When did you submit the extension?

a trp is what it is temporary resident permit expires at the end of this month and the work permit expires at the same time applied for an extension in the beginning of april have not heard back yet.

anyone?????

I believe that if your work permit expires while you are waiting for the new one, you are on 'implied status' and you're okay because your lack of work permit is due to CIC's slow processing so they won't have you deported. I don't know about the temporary resident permit though. Do you have both a TRP and an OWP? Are you extending both?

Why do you have a TRP?

Criminality?
Other Inadmissibility?

If it is for criminality, you will probably have to get a new one, for other inadmissibility, I suppose it will depend...

Also, this is the wrong forum unless you got the OWP due to a spousal sponorship.
