Tracking PNP September 2012 applications to Nova Scotia

Hi Guys,

I received my Confirmation of PR last week.
I am not sure how to do flag-polling. Please advise me. I reside in ONTARIO, TORONTO.
Do I need to apply visitor visa for US to cross Canadian border and re-enter into CANADA? Or is there any other way I can do the flag-polling.

Hi Prabhu,

First of all Hearty Congratulations on your success. One thing I am sure, you don't need to apply for US visa. Canadian immigration people will ask you to go to US immigration department, then the US immigration department will give you a refusal document (don't worry...this refusal WILL NOT affect any thing on your future US visa if you have any plans). You need to take this refusal document to Canadian immigration and there you will complete your formalities. I don't have much more about flag poll...hope somebody will respond you here. Sarayu has explained the process. I don't have anything to add. My previous post will explain the flag-poling procedure at Peace Arch boarder. I guess it should be the same everywhere.

Hi Guys

I ordered my GCMS on march 21st along with my wife and got them in two weeks.

I also talked to my MP regarding my application and his words were : "Everything is complete except security, your file has been sent for security clearance on March 21st, 2013 and it'll take one or two months and you'll then get your Passport request".

On my GCMS its says "Cancelled" for security screening status and the date for this update is March 21st.
Q1)Does it mean they are not doing any security screening for me".
Q2)Do they do security screening for all dependents included in application.

Now i asked for status of application from CPP-Ottawa and they said "all the applications received after June 1st,2012 will be reviewed after august 31st and you should expect to hear from VO after that date".

Q3)Did anyone get the same reply as i did from CPP and got his/her passport request before the date mentioned in email.

I am worried about my spouse, she is back home and i am planning to apply for her visit visa if the processing will take that much time.

I would like share my situation in this case.
I got my PPR request on next day after my status was changed on "Decision Made".
You will get you PPR request soon!

That was my thought too, but it's been 3 weeks, next week will be 1 month, haven't seen any person wait so long after DM.

and I am a July 2012 applicant, seems all July applicants got PPR 2 months ago.

I think one of the October applicants wrote that he saw "Decision Made", contacted his visa office and was said that he will receive his PPR by post mail. You can try that too.

Hello everyone,

Was just wondering something, I had sent my PP and received by VO Manila on April 15.. And was just wondering if I am good to go to quit into my job rut now even I still didn't get the PP back with Copr for landing? I just want to quit right now due to bad management and abusement to the staff.. Is it going to be a problem if I quit by end of may even i don't have my PP and CPR for land. Please anyone help....

No not for me, I knew people got that emails but they have already got PPR. So don't worry about that,it's a standard reply, maybe just copy/paste.
