Hi Guys, still there is no news for my application (from Toronto) ... I dont know what the hell they are doing?!! Anyone else has the same situation?
I also ordered ATPP but no news from that .... It has been around 3 weeks ... WTF?!!

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 9, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 11, 2015.
We started processing your application on August 25, 2015.

Same situation here... got AOR Aug 4 and in process since Aug 19.. no updates even on ATIP that i requested in Jan and got in Feb. Called the CIC number but just get the same reply - 1year is not over..

ATIP took exactly 1 month for me - they took a print of the electronic file within 2-3 days of request but the rest of the time that file is also in the queue! They remove certain information like security status etc from the file before the copy is issued to you. Might request another one in a month or so if I still dont get any updates...

Yesssss!!!! I have received the test invitation. Test will be on April 26th, 2016. Haven't received the mail yet. But ecas got added 4th point. Former test writers, a question for you. What are the documents thats needs to taken while appearing for test?

it's right in the letter what you have to bring. It's all the Original documents you've enclosed to the application as copies, your passports of the last 5 years (even if expired), pr-card, invitation. and also that piece of paper you've got when you immigrated to canada (the one they stapled into your passport - imm1000 or so)

Congratulations,

the officer will have a small talk with you, asking how did you find Canada, job, community etc.

Officer will have a fast look into your papers. if you calculated your PR time correctly, than everything will be OK.

Just relax, and don't forget the most important thing, do a lot of on line practicing, read the book well, and be ready for your great day.

The interviewer will only ask you simple things.....I was initially asked when I came to Canada.....I was asked about my work (history),my kids,marital status,then she looked at my passports (old and current)...whole interview took only 5 mins.

Good luck on your test.....read discover Canada at least 3 times,online practice tests helps a lot too.

I receive the ATIP ... Anyone has any idea how to read this crap? It is 27 pages of information that seems to be useless ... wth? The only dates I see are in August and September 2015 nothing else !! What sections are important to read?

I still have not received my oath invite letter; however, I am very happy when I got an update in my e-cas:

4. We sent you a notice on April 18, 2016 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on May 3, 2016 at 9:15 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

I can't wait for May 3!

Hey Everyone

Considering the new Citizenship Act students who have been in Canada prior to getting their PR could count their stay for the period necessary to obtain citizenship. Do you know what docs one needs to prove he was in Canada at period? Anyone experiencing such a thing?
