Anyone from Montreal office recently got his/her PR card approved? An agent told me that the office is closed, but I am aware of at least one person that got his PR Card last week..too bad if they are also lying to us.... Average processing times is now 99 days, I am at 7 months and the only answer I constantly get (phone or webform) is just to wait. In the last webform they even said they are processing the PR Cards by date of reception...so frustrating..

I was in same scenario so i would suggest you to send email or fax to Montreal office. That’s what i did after waiting for almost 8 months from Halifax office.

Delivered: Jan 15th, 2021
Linked Application in CIC: Jan 22nd, 2021
PR Card Approved and Mailed: Feb 02nd, 2021.

Hey CoPR is valid for one year right? But in cic account it shows me 6 months date.i don't know in between pr card not process then what to do? Do you have any idea about that?

My COPR in my account had a month validity because of my passport expiry but my COPR letter had a 1 year validity. I called CIC and they explained the validity on the letter is what matters - also my PR card was approved even though my passport has expired and the COPR validity in my account is expired.

In account CoPR validity is expired then?then also the letter is valid for 1 year.right?

Yep - in my account it was valid until my passport expired but my letter said it was valid for 1 year.

They told me that one thing is the PR card, and the other the PR itself (meaning that you are already PR even if you don't get the PR card). What I am afraid is that in Quebec they ask me for the PR Card for example to renew the health insurance card...anyway, I hope to get it before one year

I never found the email for Montreal office, had to contact always via webform..if you find it, please share it

I applied my pr card on December 21st 2020 there was ghost update on 26 January
Today i called cic and they said they mailed my pr card on Monday from Vancouver office hopefully i will get it in a day or two
They didn’t update anything in system earlier
The agent i talked to he update the account right way
Now it shows pr card mailed

I got my COPR back in Jan 2018. Recently I finally decided to move to Canada and mailed a PR card form to Sydney, NS.
Date i became PR: Jan 2018
Sent PR application to Nova Scotia; Jan 7, 2021
received: Jan 11, 2021
No update since then. One agent told me that paper applicatino will be treated as renewal of PR card (even though I didn't get my first card). Agent cannot see my PR card application in the system either - and that's probably why I cannot link the application on CIC. Does anyone know how long before I should expect an update. Life is very-very difficult with an expired COPR (No SIN, No driving license, no health card...can't even get kid admitted into school)
