The long wait is finally over. Behold the most awaited PR Card. Below is my timeline.

Landed: April 08
Photo Request: June 09 (through email)
CIC Received Photo: June 16
PR Card dispatched: July 12
PR Card received: July 21 (Edmonton Alberta)

Does anyone know how long does it take to get PR cards after they have been sent for production? I called CIC today and they told me that our cards request was sent to production 2 days back.

Should take a week or less if you are in Toronto. Might take longer for other parts of Canada.

Thanks! I live in Ottawa. When agent told me that it has gone into production 2 days back, for a minute I thought that would mean months of wait! Good to know that it shouldn't take too long because I have a trip planned in middle of August and I didn't want to bother about getting a PRTD.

I landed June02 but haven't heard anything since. It's more than the 49 days currently displayed on the website

We got 5 letters..they were sent on 3 different dates but all came on the same day

Thank God, finally got my PR cards on Wednesday (20/07/2016).
Landed on May 24.

I landed on July 3rd, waiting for my PR card. I have a wedding to attend back home in October and i really hope the PR card comes out before then. If it doesn't what are my options?

You can enter using a private car through US border, or apply for a travel document once you are outside Canada.

I am opting for the second option. Landed April 30th, did not receive card until today.

Thanks for your response! Wow, since April 30th? that's more than the 45 days they have posted on their website. I hope you get it soon. And mine too. My fear is how long will it take to get the travel document back to Canada. I'm only spending two weeks at home.

I just keep trying to figure out what the problem is....i landed April 28th,nothing yet. I've called severally. Still in process. Someone who landed may 24th has gotten it already. Wow.

wanted to spread some positivity here as people tend to get worried. As we see some problem happening sometimes, it is also common to have NO problems, but it is normal that the people who have smooth journey don't post as much as others having difficulties.

I have got my PR card
Duration from Landing till being sent 56 days plus 6 days with Canada post.
Total 72 days.

My advise is don't panic and relax, you will find an answer to your question on this forum. Thanks to the helpful members
