Experts...

I have submitted medicals and PCC for my parents (paid RPRF, too).

I do hope that they receive PPR moving forward. Their passports are expiring in July, 2017. Let's say if they receive their PPR by December, they will still have more than 6 months on their passports and they would be able to get the visa stamped. Now, after they get the visa stamped, is it okay if they renew their passports before July and before coming to Canada???? (Usually, visas in old passports do not expire but since this is a one time immigration visa, I am not sure).

And, if they renew their passports before receiving the Passport Request (PPR) and if they don't update this with CIC, Is it okay to send the new passports for stamping even though they are not updated with CIC????

What could be a better option??

You may go ahead with PPR and after Visa stamping you may renew your passport. In this case you have to keep your old passport with the new passport. This is what I am advised by my travel agent in dadaum2 case.As her passport is expiring in May2017.

Question: So, I submitted the medicals & PCC and paid the RPRF. I am not sure how long before I hear back from CIC. I have been planning to get my parents on visitor visa in January 2017 already for some personal reasons. Will it be OK if I start the visitor visa application along with current one? I am wondering what if we are asked for Passports for both at the same time (due to an overlapping timeline)?

I made the online account using my father's name and date of birth as he is the primary applicant. I used both UCI and Application number to find the application. I also entered my father's passport information in the applicant's information part...Please let me know if any of these are not correct.

Thank you
Nazanin

There are few tricks that may work for you in order to link link PGP app to MyCIC account.

Please refer to the bottom of 'Info' sheet of 2016 PGP Timeline SS.

It will be extremely hard for them to get the TRV while their PR is in-process since it shows a clear intention to live in Canada permanently. However, you can launch an application anytime you want. But since you're already waiting for PPR, you may not need to apply at all.

Hey guys, I have a weird one... So, I received request to submit PCC for both my parents which was done back in October. I now received another PCC request from Australia for my mother. But the thing is, my mother has never lived in Australia in her life. She did go for a vacation there for about 10 days back in 1995 though... Should I be contacting IRCC to ask? If so, should I contact the local visa office (Singapore)? Thanks in advanced

That's weird. My mom also visited Australia (& 15 other countries) for almost 3 weeks and Singapore never asked for PCC from any country other than our home country.

I would advise you to contact Singapore at once to clarify this. If you still can manage to get the entry-exit stamp by Aussie on her passport, attach a scanned copy of them with your email.

SuperVisa is recommended over VisitorVisa.

Sapguru, why do you suggest supervisa, when blueboy's parents is going to get PR, 'tourist' visa should save time and money

what kind of factor you refer?
I must refer them as personal factors - few parents may not like to stay in Winter. They may have commitments in native home upon original arrival date.

I thought I read his parents want to visit Canada while PR application is still in process. If they are already PR, then no Visa required :).

Guys I have not got SA yet after the additional document was request in July which I provided them at that time around. What is going on?? is it that they just keep the file aside forever and will not look at it atall while there are not many SA left so why there is a delay?

Don't worry you are not alone. I got the additional request in Sep which I submitted right after and until now I am still waiting for SA. I hope we can get the final requirements and documents before the end of the year.

If your LVO is not Ottawa, then your CIC will not be updated. I read somewhere in this forum that local visa offices do no have access to the mycic application and they do not update it
good luck

It's not true.

LVO's do update MyCIC.
