Yup - BC is the foremost proof of relationship to a child.
Assuming wala ka din sa BC, kailangan maghanap ka ng ibang references - see here: https://psa.gov.ph/civilregistration/republic-act-9255 - the "Revilla Law"
Section 7.1.2 (c)
c. Any two of the following documents showing clearly the paternity between the father
and the child:

1) Employment records
2) SSS/GSIS records
3) Insurance
4) Certification of membership in any organization
5) Statement of Assets and Liabilities
6) Income Tax Return (ITR)

Note - kailangan me acknowledgement/admission muna ng paternity - kung walang annotation sa BC, then either separate public document or private handwritten document

I may add also - school records - as added proof of paternity.
In lieu kasi ng BC - which by itself can stand on its own as proof of paternity - kailangan damihan mo ang alternative documents showing na me father-child relationship.

If magbibigay ka ng documents, note that mas malakas ang isang government issued document kesa sa Baptismal/Confirmation certificate. Kaya mas pinapaboran in importance ang official government records. Kung meron ka naman, use them first, before resorting sa baptismal/confirmation certificates.

Hello everyone..I wonder if anyone received on 2 September an invitation for Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) via email? Was it reflected on Ecas?

My agent received an email with such invitation for me. At the same time on Ecas the 4th line appeared that says: "4. We sent you a letter on September 2, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.".

Now I am confused. Did they mean the above mentioned email or they sent a physical letter? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. They received my passport for visa stamping a month ago.

Ito po ung mga plan ko submit :
Shows na dependent ko sya
1. Income Tax Return (ITR)
2. Philhealth

Shows na ako ang Guardian :
3. School Records (Primary and Secondary)

Shows na under ko sya sa medical benefit sa company na pinag tratrabahuhan ko :
4. HMO Card

Shows na ako ang Father :
5. DSWD Clearance (Expired nga lang)
6. Baptismal Certificate
7. Confirmation

Thanks po for the advise....

Yup - should be fine. Yung ITR would be best if ilalagay mo is a few years apart. Let's say isama mo ang first year na nakalagay na ang child mo as dependent, then isama mo next is the ITR after 5 years, then the next is 10 years. Makikita me progression ng taon na nagdaan, and nakalista pa rin sya as your dependent. So it shows history.

In this case, proving parent-child relationship. So in support ng BC, ipila mo na ang mga government records (ITR, Philhealth), then personal records (HMO Card). Maganda sana ang Baptismal/confirmation certificate, kaso sabi mo mga me discrepancies ang pangalan, so maaring pagmulan na naman ng mga tanong na iniiwasan mo at this stage. Kung me way ka to explain the discrepancies, isama mo, pero kung wala, you have to decide kung kaya na tumayo ang supporting docs mo without the docs na me discrepancy.

Noted po Sir. Thanks. Gusto ko lng sya submit kc andun ung name ko as a father...

thanks po ulit sir ragluf for your advises.

If expired ang advise ko put in a letter of explanation. Straight on sagutin mo ang tanong sa iyo - na you are offering these docs as proof of an established (note - established na nuon pa hindi kelan lang) father-child relationship. Then explain away na kahit na expired ang note from the DSWD, it is part of documentary history na well-established and continuing up to now ang relationship, at hindi kailanman naging tanong kung sino ang parent ng bata.

Another thought - samahan mo ng ilang pictures kung pwede - anything showing present ka during the important events (bday, christening, baptism, first communion, graduation etc.) - proof is not limited to documents lang, pictures clearly show the relationship is there and established irrespective of legitimacy questions. If I am not mistaken tinanggal na rin yata ang definition ng illegitimate child sa Family Code, lahat dependent na - but I will have to check.

hi everyone, ngayun lang ulit ako nakapag post dito after 6 months.
Last October 8 ang kanyang re-evaluation and positive ang result. the doctor's impression was he has already caught up with his typically developing peers and he does need any other services like speech therapy. from 75% naging 100% na ang kanyang developmental qoutient and his outcome assessed age is 4 yrs old...my son is only 3 yrs old....kumbaga late talker lang talaga sya...

last oct 15 ko nai submit sa st lukes ermita ang result and ang sabi nila 1week process bago nola mai submit sa embassy. once received ba ng embassy ang result how long nman po kaya sila magrereply or mag change ang status namin sa ECAS to medical received...how long pa po kaya aantayin namin for PPR?

thanks po....God bless us ALL :-)
